the old stuff was okay. it was mostly upbeat and, contained political or, social messages or, was just fun. the new stuff just seems to be a negative spin on the old stuff with, none of the important messages. today's rap is, just a lot of racial, stereotyping negativity produced by a lot of wannabe tough, macho hoodlums who, probably wouldn't last very long if, they set foot out of their middle class suburban "HOODS".

I'm not fond of it. As a form of music it lacks melody. I find the lyrics often (but to be fair, this isn't always the case) put negative and unconstructive messages out there. The clips, as has already been said, are downright degrading to women. Blues and even Motown have proven African Americans can create awesome music genres. Where the hell did rap come from?

I HATE IT!!!- (at my huge warehouse job there's a radio in every department, & it's on the same rap-hip hop station! the crap is annoying, gives me a headache, it sounds like the same tune/rythum repeating over & over, & "homies" talkin' along to it!! & to be honest I'll wear earplugs if I have to!!!)

great music, lyrics, but videos have gotten to raunchy, can't watch for more than five minutes before getting excited
