im glad someone else is bringing attention to this. i have a 2006 honda civic. i have had to replace all 4 tires already... and my engine is no good. it is currently sitting at the dealerships maintenance dept. im waining on the aholes to tell me what is up with my car... the claims reps and honda co are doing everything they can, to exclude my claim from being covered under warranty. my car has 37000 miles on it and is barely 2 years old... i service my car frequently, etc. i take good care of my car..
because of the indicator lights not working, i didnt know my water pump had a leak and car was overheated- therefore that caused my engine to "blow". (NO INDICATION WHATSOEVER!!) the warranties and corporation is trying to say that is was my fault that i drove the car outta water. i serviced the car for winter 2 weeks earlier and there was no leak. honda is trying to get outta giving me my factory warranty.... according to papers, i have a 60000 mile 5 years factory warranty on my engine... so tell me, if you know- how is that fair???
i just dont know what to do with it anymore. as stupid as this sounds, i would rather put 3 gs down towards a brand new car, than give them the cost of an engine to a company who doesnt deserve my hard earned cash.

And, you are surprised or something? There's a reason people don't like taking their car to the dealer for service or even buying a new car from traditional dealers...they don't like being ripped off. I read the story of the guy at Browns in VA, well the guy is a bit of a sucker it seems. For one his car must be out of warranty(should've bought a Hyundai!) and 2 he keeps going back to the same dealer that wants to rip him off! There are plenty of independent car repair shops that will charge you less then the dealer and are more honest, usually the per hour rate is 70-80% of the dealer rate. This guy even said he took it to another shop and found out about a recall, then the idiot went back to the dealer again....
