You can use just about anything - I have XP running fine ona Celeron 433 laptop and it works FANTASTIC for e-mail and writing documents and basic spreadsheets.

If you want to play games, it's sucks. A pentium 4 would play some games fine... others it would suck at. It would do fine for lightly editing photos, but you'd be FAR better off with a newer multicore system if you plan on doing a lot of video editing.

BOTTOM LINE: What's appropriately fast enough for you depends on you - what you do with the computer and how much "wait" you are ok with.

Yep, U Have the Pentium 4 and then the Pentium 4 HT which
are a little faster. Good enough for XP

Your speeds can range from 2.0ghz to 3.4ghz depending on the type of CPU is in the Motherboard.

?
idk what you're asking

all processors remain the same speed regardless of operating system.

the pentium 4 is a pretty old single core processor. its pretty outdated. the dual core processors are much better.
