I have a friend who has already served 6 years of his life sentence in Mississippi. Can he appeal his case at this point? get a lighter sentence? He's had good behavior, he was only 19 at the time of the offense and he was a Marine.

There are several appeals available after a conviction. Some must be brought within a certain period of time, others can be brought later. There's no way to tell from this limited info whether he still has any appeal rights left. He needs to discuss it with an attorney who will hear all of the facts.

It depends. Hasn't he already appealed? It's usually pretty standard procedure. His good behavior would have no bearing.

yes of cause such person's case can still be considered since for the fact that he/she didn't denied is offence and that is just accused for capital murderer not human murdered rather. so he/she can still pay for it but if it is life he/she can not pay for it
