This question is obvious. You are blaming the United States for being hypocrites yes we used two nuclear weapons at war with japan during World War II, dropped on both Hiroshima and Nagasaki. And it is because we have seen the damage first hand of what nuclear weapons can do. That we decide which country's can have nuclear weapons. Nuclear technology for the use of providing reliable energy is not the reason why we do not allow other countrys to develop it. It is because after a country (usually particularly violent ones) decides they want to use nuclear technology for energy. They usually later figure out that the same spent fuel rods can be used to create nuclear weapons. For example take a look at north korea. A communist country with a ton of horrible deeds under their belt. They are currently testing nuclear weapons underground. Now would you fight for their right to nuclear technology, when they are sending nuclear warheads into your part of the country. Or you are dying because the nuclear fall out from the bomb they unleash is now being picked up by winds and carried to your front door.
