i would say it is the teething. my daughter when she was younger always had a bad stomach. her diapers were foul. but i took her to the emergency room over and over again because i was worried. they always gave me the same advice shes not dehydrated as long as she has no circles under her eyes and she is still producing urine diapers too. most times you just have to wait it out. just like what other people said ang give her plenty of pedialite. also my daughter has really sensitive skin and everytime she had bad diapers she would get the bleeding rash. well i took some really good advice and i bought a tube of pure lanolin. its on the baby aisle but its used for nursing mothers nipples to soothe and preotect them and it works wonders on a diaper rash. good luck though

Sounds Like she is teething, My son had diarhrea for a week when he got is molars in. It was awful. Just change her often , keep her bottom dry and give her liquids at every turn. Not apple juice, though. That will only make it worse. White grape juice and pedialite, if she will drink it. As for the diaper rash, A&D works best the one with the golden label. Do not use desitin. There is something in it, I think the fragrence, that hurts babies when there is a severe rash. You can also get a prescription from her doctor if there are open, bleeding sores. It is some sort of steriod cream. Works wonders.

Okay don't panic when you read my answer but have your child checked. There is a virus called rotavirus which I had never heard of until my son caught it about a year ago. He had diarhea and started vomiting and became dehydrated and had to spend a few days in a childrens hospital. Every child gets it but my son was so young he had a hard time with it. Since you said he poo stinks bad my guess is he has it too but I could be wrong. I would have a doctor take a stool sample and check it for rotavirus now. I mean ER. Many children worldwide have died from this virus but remember many don't have decent medical care and you still have plenty of time as my sons was like this for awhile before I knew what was going on but I wouldn't hesitate another minute. Don't let it persist until your child becomes dehydrated as my son did . He was on an IV for several days.
Just type rotavirus into google and check it out to know for yourself it's a real virus.
Best Wishes

I am a mother of 7...they were right in that you should give Pedialyte to keep electrolytes balanced. It comes in juice and popsicles. Johnsons makes a diaper rash cream in a blue and white tube that is great, and you need to leave the diaper area exposed to air so it will heal. Never rediaper until it is completely dry. Finally, for a day or so you should follow the BRAT diet... bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast. If that doesn't work I'd go see the pediatrician.

she could be cutting her 1 yr molars or the canine teeth--those both cause stinky diarhea...My son had that with every tooth he cut.
use some Butt Paste her bottom...also, you can rub some Mylanta on her bottom and it will help stop the burning when she pees.
Also, put her on the BRAT diet (Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, and Toast) All of these things will thicken up her poops...what worked for my son where some homemade rice crispy treats. It helped to stop him up..also i would give her lots of liquids---maybe some pedialyte to ensure that she isnt getting dehydrated. My son had diarhea the last time for almost a week and he had no fever also...just think of it as a way to get your baby's system all cleaned out before the holidays.
Good luck and keep us posted on what happens.

It sounds like she may have a food allergy. Did she eat any new types of food in the last couple of days (or did you, if you are nursing)? If she did, take them out of her diet and then add them back in one at a time to see which food triggers the problems. Also, you may consider asking your pediatrician to do an allergy test if her reaction is that severe, just so that you have the information and can avoid that food altogether.
Give her pedialyte (to make sure she stays hydrated) and try not to stress.
Good luck!

make sure you're giving her enough liquid. I'd be concerned about dehydration. Lil bit may need gatorade, too. I'd call the dr's just to be safe. We're probably not doctors here :)
