I would buy the 2008 Dodge Caliber. I would get as much options I could for $20,000. Or just get the basic model and save the rest for liscense plates, taxes, registration, GAS, and insurance.

honda civic- the accord is just a tad over that, but if you're seriously looking for a car, go the thou or 2 over and get the accord- they are both great cars. I've owned both and have an accord now.
