I suppose since the Hundred Years' War, England and France have been one of the biggest rival countries in the world. They seem to have permanent conflicts with eachother that will always last, politically and morally. Although individuals may like eachother, as at time England and France have been on OK terms... why are the two countries so connected in rivalry??

I have to do a research paper on it, too, so do you know of any sites or places that I can get some information on England and France's relationships throughout history?

The rivalry largely stemmed from the Norman Conquest of England. This meant that the English kings had French territories to defend for centuries, and even when most of them were lost they sometimes tried to take them back.

Go back to the Norman conquest, honey. When the French invaded England in 1166, things started getting a wee bit feisty.

England is interior the Europe continent, so there is not any way around that. i think of the british are proud to be a rustic no longer tied to the different united states (seem as an instance on their retaining their distant places money and not starting to be a member of the Euro), so i think of it quite isn't a genuine subject, merely one thing the persons of england want.
