i need to use the word confided into a sentence is this correct
" I confided to my dad that I was a liitle scared to ride my bike."
is this a correct way to use confided?

yes, that is a proper use of that word.
"confided" means like to secretively admit something.
so it's like you're admitting confidentially to your dad that you're scared to ride your bike.
so that's fine.

It's a tricky word, I'm horrible at english even though I have been speaking it for 31 years (my whole life), well, maybe 29 years. Usually I think of confiding IN someone but that gets into transitive and intransitive which I don't fully understand. Here's a link to a similar question, maybe you can make sense of it.

(Confide means in confidence.)
