me and my friends(about 6 of us) plan on skipping school tomorrow and on halloween since were going on a trip to columbia university and neither of us wanna go and nobody really goes to school on halloween..we just plan on going to soho and skateboarding..then going to 42nd when schools out and playing some laser tag...then back to harlem to out pizzaria and my friends house..halloween were probly going to yellow rat bastard to help my friend buy some stuff...and thats it..my mom said i dont have to go to school on halloween and that she doesnt care if i roam around tomorrow afterschool but i cant just go places during school becuz i can get picked up by cops..should i just skip anyway since its only one day??

Go to school. If you get caught, you could wind up with a juvie officer watching your every move. Your life can be made miserable if the police catch you skipping school. You and your family will probably be referred to a local organization, like the one in my area called FINS (Families in Need of Services). It's only school. You only go five days a week. Have some fun after school on Halloween night.

no not unless it's authorized by your parents, because it is illegal to skip school. It really doesn't matter what your plans are, just wait until the weekend to do those things. My opinion is not to skip school. Since you're probably in high school if you're thinking about skipping, you should think more about your grades for college! how will skipping school effect them?
If its just a one time thing, and your parents are okay with it, go for it :-)

Sure why learn anything. You will be selling pizza at that same pizzeria all your life. Come on you know the answer - you are just looking for an excuse to cut classes. Hey Friday is a bad day too...and Monday's suck.... and well why go on Tuesday's - they blow too.

I say don't skip because you could end up in trouble at school. Plus as others said it will get you into a habit of doing it which could result in more serious punishment later.
And your mom shouldn't allow you to either.
