Being a nurse of any description is one who does long hard
physical work with patients who can be sweet as lambs or
hard nosed and tough old birds LOL. Recently I was in the
hospital and observed the jobs where people were on the
run the most. It was the practical nurses and then the 'helpers'
who were in training to be practical nurses. They were on
the move constantly, and I hardly ever saw them back at the
nurses station if I looked across the hall.
One RN who had been promoted to manager of that wing,
was also put to work due to a short staff. And she told me
nothing was beneath her, if a patient needed attention or
help in some way. She even emptied a bedpan or two while
I was there. And she was wearing a suit and heels while she
was assisting me and another patient. I was very impressed.
She told me she'd been an RN for 32 years. And she still
looked young and attractive. I couldn't believe what I saw!
She was overly dedicated and proved it.

I think that a nurse's job is hard. Everyday nurse's run into all types of people. Some people want special treatment and get treated like royalty. I know that in the ER Emergncy is one of the longest and stressful days in the hospital. If, you are a nurse on the floor that is some hard stuff to go through. Most people have told be that being a nurse is like being a maid, except that you get paid more. The nurse's that do only paper work have it made, that is the best job to have if you don't want to be bothered with people. LPN's work very hard, and don't always get paia a lot depending on where you work. RN's get paid pretty good. You have to really like your job a lot to be a nurse.

I worked for 12 years in nursing. It is a hard demanding job but rewarding at the same time. when we finished our shift we would realize we hadn't had a washroom break and rush home. Our legs would ache from being on a slow run all day. Grab something to eat and go to bed and get up and start all over the next day. My feet hurt all the time and the pay back then wasn't much. I had wanted to be a nurse as long as I could remember, but when we adopted our daughter in 1975 I retired for good. I used to joke and say I wish I could go back to work for a rest because being a mom of a baby was hard work and no sleep.

a nurses job is rather hard considering you cannot make a mistake at any time during a serious moment but if you like the job it is always worth taking it as it is a good job.the only problem is the pay for a nurse is not the greatest in the world.

A nurse's job is very hard and they do have so much and so many to take care of. My mom and late mother-in-law were nurses and my sister-in-law is one now. Bless all the nurses for the wonderful work they do.

I think it's HARD.
I actually have just as much--if not more--respect for nurses than doctors. Nurses have to deal with the human element (not just the patient element), and they do a thankless job. So...thanks all you nurses!
