Take them aside and tell them straight, that your workplace is driving you roung the bloody bend.
After that, stick the sick note in his hand, he can't say anything about it without you complaining to the higher ups.

Ask the doctor to not specify that is work related stress. Something generic is all they need to know. If they think work is that hard on you, they might get rid of you for you own good and theirs, assuming you live in a state that is legal in like California depending how they phrase it.

I was put off work for three weeks with stress as i wasn't eating or sleeping.
I just posted my certs by recorded delivery as and when i got them to ensure they got there.

i think that you can take a week off work without a sick note.
go to your boss and say the work is really stressing me you will be able to get a week off because it is heath and safety if it effects you that much by law you are intitled to time off...

usually after signing yourself off for a week hon, doctors will usually give u a sick note afterwards no probs and u can either send it in or take it in xx

i faxed mine in with a cover letter so only my boss would read it and so he'd/she'd get it right away. if you feel well enough, call to tell them to look for it by fax.
