he and 3 or 4 friends jumped up on your airplane and wanted to take control of the plane and the only weapons they had were cheap drugstore box cutter with one inch blades (blades by the way that only come half an inch out of the handle)?

How many of the other passengers do you think would fight as well?

Do you really think the US gov had nothing to do with it?

Please keep in mind that they told the passengers that everything would be OK. Previously, when planes were hijacked they were usually landed, and had not been flown into buildings. Understanding that there was a very good possibility that the plane would land and they would eventually be released, why would the passengers chance getting their throats cut (a 1/2 razor blade is plenty long enough for this)?

As evidence please consider what happened aboard flight 93. When these passengers found out that their plane was not going to be landed, they DID fight against the hijackers.

In short, it all makes sense if you think about it. At least it makes a lot more sense than the government having anything to do with it.

I doubt many people can truthfully answer this question until after the circumstance presents itself.
If I felt that it was a typical hijacking and we would soon change planes in Cuba or some other rat hole, I'd probably not cause a scene. Post 9/11, however, I would make a different assumption about the terrorists' intentions and act accordingly.

Yes I would fight the terrorists. I don't know how many of the other passengers would help me. No I don't think the US Government had anything to do with 9/11.

Prior to 9/11, aircrews were trained to cooperate with hijackers, rather than risk the lives of passengers by fighting for control of the plane. They would encourage passengers to do the same, of course.

Once it became clear that the objective was to crash the plane, passengers /did/ fight back, on flight 93. I'd expect attempted hijackings in the near future to end with the hijacker mobbed and beaten to death by panicked/enraged passengers, the moment he initiated his attempt. That is, if an air marshal didn't shoot him, first.

I'd take some of them out with a combined barrage of overhead bin luggage and careful swings of the fire extinguishers coupled with a few sprays from those extinguishers to the face. The last thing these cowards expect is for someone to counter-attack. In that regard, they are as ovine in their thinking as the sheep in the seats.
BTW, I was a victim of a hijacking in the late 1960s. Spent seven "delightful" hours in the capital of North Korea. And I vowed I would never go along with the "conventional wisdom" ever again.

I would kick their terrorist butts, and have fun doing it, lol. The government DID NOT have anything to do with 9/11, I don't know why some people think it did.

I'm a lib and I'd take 'em down in a heartbeat, and no, I really don't think the gov't had nothing to do with it. I think many passengers would have jumped them.

Dude...you're forgetting one thing. These flights originated from Boston....a liberal city. They were destined for California...a liberal State. Libs are the biggest puzzies when it comes to standing up for anything. It's not surprising that a plane full of liberal wussies wouldn't do a thing to fight for their lives.

I figured an asinine question deserves an answer just as bad.

Most people would not fight back and if you believe the Govt had something to do with 9/11 then good luck getting your diaper changed.

Are you asking if the US government has anything to do with "being" terrorists? Shame on you! Given your pathetic scenario, I would attack to KILL!
