guitars for the most part are made left or right handed if you are not sure which one to get for you try both. feel what hand is most comfortable on the strings I am left handed and i play a right handed guitar that means the strings the strings should go big to small as you hold the guitar big string on top try out more than one and check out a few different stores try to get the one that fits most comfortable in your hand

well if it's a really cool guitar buy it! Jimi played a righty lefty but he also played right or left, yea he was good! play with it awhile and see what you think. you'll be lucky if its a lefty though. leftys that play rt handed tend to be better finger pickers so I've noticed over the last 20yrs Ive been playing

I'm a lefty playing a right-handed guitar; didn't know any better when I picked it up as a kid. You're going to have a lot more variety in models and it will be cheaper if you play a right-handed guitar in the standard fashion. Just the way it is. If you haven't learned yet, there's no difference in how you learn - it's all new.

It depends on how well you can adjust to playing such a guitar. There are plenty of left-handed people who play guitar right-handed. Examples include Barry Gibb, Paul Simon, David Bowie, Nils Lofgren, Gregg Allman, Kip Winger, & Kathy Valentine (The Go-Gos).

It's definitely for a righty unless it says otherwise. Try both kinds and see what you are more comfortable playing.

i'm left-handed and i play a right-handed guitar. it's just preference, i guess.

if you are just now learning, it doesn't matter a whole lot.
if you already know how to play one way, stick with that way.

(i went with right just because they're easier to come by and replace and such.)
