You are whatever you want to be.
You were born in France so that's your nationality.
You have a mixed heritage, and that's great...
I'm mixed w/English, Irish, German, Peruvian, Chinese and Incan. I was born in the U.S.
Even if I was just Irish, or just Chinese I would still check 'Other' like I always did in school.
Even at a young age it saddened me to see the statistics where they indicate that black, hispanics and Native Americans are in the lowest tier.
Why has it become the norm?
One day we will all be mutts like me :)

Besides the obvious silly answers like human & mammal, you are French by birth, since you were born in France.

You are French born, and you are probably a mix of races since America is so mixed.

A mongrel. Like everyone else. I don't know of any culture anywhere in the world that has remained isolated from the rest and is without interbreeding or the mixing of foreign ideas with their own. Welcome to the human race. It has always been this way and always will be.

An individual. avoid labels. If you must, however, it sounds like you could be called milado (sp?), unless your father is a white African. Of course, your mom could be black or whatever. you have to be more specific as to their color and ethnic origin. Forget the whole thing and meet someone interesting for coffee.

Your nationality is French...you could say French but.....
Are both your parents black and where was your dad born in Africa?
Ethnicity, race and nationality aren't the same thing which is why I'm asking these questions.

Since you were born in France, that automatically makes you 100% French.
But, you are also a first generation, since your father was born in Africa.
You are an American citizen, but you are NOT American, because you were born in France. Don't get that confused ;D
So you are French, an American citizen and a first generation.
Hope I helped<3

Your French or mixed. But I dont think that they have French or mixed as an option on the papers to check off. If they don't then just check off other.

You are a person. If you feel strongly about it, you can identify with any of the cultures or you can just be you and not label yourself. Frequently I find that the label sets up expectations and generalizations and create conflict, not unity. Just be proud of being you.
