And did you have any ill effects off that stuff they put you to sleep with?

yes and yes. I react to a General Anaesthetic by vomiting but when I had my last operation 7½ yrs ago Stemetil (anti-nausea drug) was included which helped a great deal. You don't actually know if this happens to you until you get operated on but if you are worried speak with the Anaesthetist before the op and they should suggest something for you. BTW I've had 8 oerations and an exploratory!

Yes, i have. and no i did not have any bad effects as a result from the sleep stuff. If you are getting surgery then you should not worry about the euthenasia! Just focus on other things and yo will be fine. For almost all surgerys they use that sleep gas and very few people have complications. hope i could help!

I have had surgery more times than I wish to remember....the last time was last April....I have sometimes felt a little peculiar because of the anaesthetic....although I have been lucky on that score with the last couple of operations I have had....and the effects have always worn off in a day or two.

Yes I had 3 surgeries and all 3 times I threw up a few times in the first 24 hours from waking up from anesthesia and it was terrible.

Unfortunately I've had several surgeries. If I was given to much anesthesia I didn't care.

I've also had some outpatient surgeries & only once did I have a problem. They almost had to keep me overnight becuz of too much anesthesia. Before I could leave I had to be able to walk the corridor but I fainted - twice! Even if they had to keep me overnight, I wouldn't have cared -- nothing life threatening.

When I was two I had surgery to correct my lazy eye. I don't remember anything but my mom says the anesthesia made me sick. I've also had four teeth pulled when I was twelve. The Novacain did not make me ill but the bleeding did.

yes i've had surgery, but the "stuff that they put you to sleep wiht" gave me no ill side effects. Although my god-father does throw up every time he gets that stuff but it rarely bothers others..

>Yes, no problems with anesthetic...as a matter of fact I just felt real hungry. Of course how you feel has a lot to do with what the surgery was. Mine was a parotidectomy which doesn't involve anything to do with the abdomen or deep muscle involvement.<

I've had 4 surgeries. The only time I felt sick after surgery was when I had my wisdom teeth cut out.

Yes, I had one of my tubes removed while I was 8 moths preg. I was groggy and I had a lot of dillusions. I remeber seeing a dragon in my room..it wasnt real obviously but it was weird. You feel not in control. Then some of my hair started falling out. That happens to some people.
