Perhaps you mean the field has a perimeter of 54 cm? I'm not even sure one could call that a field--could you even plant more than one flower in such a space?

You mean perimeter, I believe. A round area mazimizes the surface area to perimeter ratio. If you must do rectilinear shapes, a square is the best.

i say a circle of perimeter = 50 cm

P = Pi d = 3.14 d = 50
d = 50/3.14 =15.92 cm

Area = pi d^2/4 = 3.14 { (50/3.14)^2}/4 = 199 cm^2
