lydia,sounds like you have a bad starter or bendix is bad. have some one check this out for you. loyd.

That is SO cool you have an 1986 jag and i have a 1986 wraith II Rolls Royce but any way try and just take it in the shop. but since we both have rear cars i just look on line because a shop may not be able to help you.

you may want to check your alternator or clean off your battery terminals *just get some bakeing soda and water and scrub it with an old tooth brush and if that dosen't work check it with a volt meter

diconnect the battery first

The same problem happened to me you need to check the hoses in the engine withe mechanic i think thats the problem.
