We are noticing Grey Squirrels in local areas with very short tails; born that way, in 2007. Would appreciate if you mention your region of the U.S. but you don't have to list a state. That is voluntary. Please give the color/kind: Red, Grey, Albino and if the squirrels are in the woods or in Parks/backyards.

Yup, I live in NJ and I have seen some with short tails. Most of them are grey but some are black.

The grey squirrels in my backyard have tails just as long as they've always been. I live in Northern New Jersey.
