Maybe I'm weird, but I get turned on by the "before" pictures of women on weight lose commercials. Why do they go and ruin perfection?

Individuals are usually most critical of themselves. They have a low self image of themselves, In some way I think they are looking for a "You're not fat" comment from someone. In my opinion is a self esteem and delusional problem. I am a guy and I know that I am fatter in my own eyes than I am in my wifes', and other people as well. I know I'm not but I still see all of the fat there.

It has been in front of most of the young folks since birth, the media is full of these walking dead, that think in order to be accepted or sexy they to have to be skin and bones and the problem is there is no why to convince them otherwise, even if friends or doctors tell them , they are killing themselves ,they think that their just saying it because they're jealous. Your concern hits a brick wall. It's a mental problem, that few are capable of over coming.

Some girls aren't comfortable with their bodies. They "think" they are fat, when they really aren't. They think not eating will solve all their problems, but when they don't eat at all, that's when their problems have just begun. Anorexia is one of the worst possible things a girl or boy could do to themselves. They are basically leading themselves to an early grave. It's really a shame.

not all of us do. some girls feel that they have to be in with the crowd. but thats not even what the crowd is doing! most of the skinny anorexic girls are pretty much loners at my school.

Me neither. They focus on the number they weigh and it freaks them out. They want to fit into the smallest pants possible. It is a mental illness.

Most trends are stupid when you get right down to it. This one's stupid and deadly.

The media Thin Girl Is Hot image is giving them unrealistic body images, then they get on a never-ending treadmill of "weight loss equals self-worth."

I don't either! I used to be too-skinny but not by choice. I just wasn't able to gain weight. After I had my daughter, I gained enough to look "normal".

As a female I don't go along with that notion. I think it's totally ridiculous, as most males will tell you they prefer more rounded figures.
