Love is an emotion, obsession is a mental disorder.
Obsession is when you feel you need someone and cannot live without him or her.
When you're in love you don't need the person or thing.

I think love is when you just want to see the person you *love* happy. Even when it means they aren't seeing you. Obsession would be just the opposite. Like you HAVE to be with them, and no one else can. As in, "If I can't have you, nobody can!"

Love is wanting to be with someone and share their life. Obsession is trying to own the other person.

I wish I knew where the line was drawn myself, I don't know if I'm in love or just completely crazed....maybe they go hand in hand. Maybe Love is a two way street, where as obsession is a one way dead end?
