oblivi - to forget
caprice - whim
monotone or monotony - with variance or boring
pomp - with flair
tedium - dull, boring
omen - foretelling
sonor - sound
notify - made known

Co you mean the nouns they come from?
1. ? 2. oblivion 3. caprice.4.monotone.5. pomposity.6.tedium
7. omen. 8. ? 9. notoriety

monotone=an unvarying tone or sound
tedium= a boring routine
sonic=pertaining to sound
noted=written about

I think these are probably all from Latin roots originally, you need a good dictionary with word etymology.

(or is it entomology; that always bugs me??)
