Meanwhile, if it makes you feel any better, I once ate a few peanuts, only to realise they were the kind used in packing the gift I'd just opened! They instantly melted in my mouth!
I was thinking like, "Where'd they go?"
Until then, I had never heard of "dissolving peanuts!"

Quick eat some Hydrox cookies, they will cancel out the effect.
(If you can't find Hydrox, I suppose Oreos might work, but I'm not certain.)
