No.

Then you would have to get rid of all the rocks...but then what would we build houses on or build with? We would have to get rid of sticks, no more oxygen as there would be no more forest's, we would also have to get rid of cars, trucks, planes, bicycles, pens, pencils, scissors, eating utensils, clothes, dogs...well, the list goes on, but the point is that anything can be used as a weapon and if we got rid of ALL the weapons in the world we would all die and no, the world would not be a better place, it would be a barren lifeless rock (which we would have to get rid of because rocks can be used as weapons).

I think it would be a better place if we were to get rid of all the people who use the weapons for evil. You can take away the weapons but we are still left with people who plan to harm others.

No, nor would you ever find a way to get rid of ALL weapons. The only thing you'd accomplish is taking the weapons away from the good guys.

Not possible, as just about anything you can pick up in your hands can be used as a weapon. Even a plastic bag can be used to smother someone, plus, you would be eating with your fingers as utensils could also be a weapon.
In fact, without any weapons, your chances of starving to death would be very great, how would you obtain any food, animal or vegetable?

How would that happen, by magic? No way an armed force could do it without unacceptable casualties. You couldn't possibly convince everyone to turn them in. This seems like a good plot for a science fiction story based on another planet.

If this were possible, and the means of producing more weapons was also eliminated, perhaps. But this is idealistic and unrealistic - different cultures will always strive to have the upper hand.

I'd make a slingshot from sticks and pebbles and take over the world.

And just where are we going to lock up all the sticks, and stones? It is not like Cain whacked Able with a 9mm.

No. Someone would make his own, club, gun, plane, or bomb and try to dominate the rest of us. The only solution is self protection and eternal vigilance. You cannot deal rationally with irrational people.
