my aunt quit using a prescription drug called Chantix.
she smoked for over 40 years, and quit in less than a month.
she says she doesn't even crave a cigarette anymore.

I just didn't want to smoke anymore and the longer I went without smoking the more I thought that I would have wasted the time I put in to not smoking if I lit up again. It has been 6 years now and I still crave a cigarette now and then. Good luck, I hope you can quit. It is the best thing that I have ever done for myself.

Growing a pair of onions, that's how I quit.
actually I quit when I found out I was pregnant (19 months ago)and it was hard but just the thaught of my little one inside me made it that less stressful, my baby is 10 months now.
Now that I'm not pregnant I find myself craving cigarettes when I'm with my smoking friends, I guess it brings out the craving or like when I'm driving or drinking those are the worst times for me. But I tell myself that I've gone this far it wont hurt to keep on trucking....

I know someone who used gum to quit, but they cant stop chewing the gum now. My dad quit by using Chantix, something like that, and he was a smoker for over 50 years. 2.5 packs a day.

Every time you have the urge to smoke, do a vigorous exercise...like running in place for ten minutes, do 50 reps of lifting hand held weights, 50 sit ups, etc...
After a few days, you'll be so sore, you'll want to vomit just thinking about a ciggie.
: )

Just go cold turkey; if you're going to cut down half, and then half again...it's a bit stupid.
If you're going to quit-just quit.
Have snacks with you all the time just incase you want to light one up..perhaps little carrots becuase they keep your fingers busy.
