My first pick would be Miguel Cabrera from the Florida Marlins. But the problem is he had a breakout season this year and we will have to give up a lot to pray him from the Marlins. Tori Hunter is free. He might fit well in that spot. I hate A-Rod, never liked him. But you can't replace a clean-up hitter like A-Rod. It's going to be hard.

Haha, very nice. I forgot about Barry. Maybe man maybe. Lets give him 3 years 100 mil. A possibility.

Scratch that. 3 years less than 100 mil for Barry.

Introducing the Yankees' new designated hitter. A man uniquely suited to the short porch in right. Formerly the left fielder for the Giants. Barry somebody.

If i was cashman i would start by signing free agent outfielder andruw jones to play centerfield. With jones in centerfield this would open up the door for a trade of melky cabrera, ian kennedy, and one or two lower prospects to the marlins for miguel cabrera. If the yankees could find a way to pull of this trade it would be the best resolution to a tough situation.

Whovever it is will be a real let down from A-Rod. Only one person ever averaged more than A-Rod's 44 homers and 128 RBIs per year......Babe Ruth!

I am sure the Yankees will find a good fit. Once they hire Girardi he may have some good ideas on who would be a good clean-up hitter.
