I think it really depends on what you define intellegent, because there are a lot of people all around the world whos education is as high as it can be. Are you looking at a celebrity or just a regular Joe?
Some scholar or idk......Sean Connary. He's kinda old and smart.

I'm going to vote for Steven Hawking",wisdom plus the incredible attitude he must have to continue working against near insurmountable disability,difficulty and pain.plus,for the last dozen years or so,he basically has been working to DISPROVE his own best work,something even Albert Einstein shied away from,even though he Knew the theory of relativity was only as good as to how far it went.the new ;'theory of everything" expands on what Einstein(and Newton) began.and yet,if you listen hard,Hawking even becomes intelligible to the average man,with minimal knowledge of physics,"black-holes" and philosophy.

everybody is smart in there own way
every1 has a different intelligence type
for example : a photographer, has a photographic intelligence
an athlete has an athletic intelligence
and that's proofed in psychology
so try to find Ur own intelligence

It is hard to answer that question because there are so many different types of intelligent. You can be intelligent at science, shopping, or you could just have common sense.
