No.The A/C compressor is either On or Off regardless of the fan speed. A belt connected to a pulley on the engine spins the compressor, thus putting a strain on the engine. That is what causes the engine to use more fuel, not the blower inside the car. The fan runs on electricity, thus drawing power from the alternator, not from the engine. All it does is blow air over the evaporator coils, and through the ductwork in the dash. It is also the same fan that blows air over the heater core when you run the heat. It is completely separate from the compressor.

Theoretically, yes. But I doubt that you'd ever notice the difference in actual practice. The compressor actually uses much more energy, and therefore gas, than the fan ever will.

Compressor produce cooling effect off belt drive to engine.fan is eletric unit on firewall not related... turn off your cooler in drveway you'll notice differnce..

ac doesn't decrease your gas mileage. it just decreases your horsepower
