I support the democratic candidate -

I just think there needs to be some Democratic domination as the GOP had w/ house, senate, Reagan back in the 1980s to turn things around, to turn the world back around from, literally, the brink of WWIII

aside from that - I like that two of the top Dem contenders are not old white men (i'm a white male btw, mid-age) - I think we're due for a president other than an old white man with the same old lobbys to which they are beholden -

I like that Obama refuses campaign monies from lobbyists

the time for lobbyist control in D.C. has to stop

I predict voting for Obama in the primaries, and Hillary for Pres (hoping a Hillary/Obama ticket will not be out of the question)

I was willing to listen to the GOP primaries debate but all I heard was more dogs of war barking about more war, while likely being in the pockets of military contractors - which is utterly ludicrous

I'm leaning towards Ron Paul, he has a strong stance on immigration, he voted against the Iraq war to begin with (good judgment) and he has a proper exit strategy out....... he is for lower taxes and limited government.. Instead of sinking our economy into more debt, by fighting wars we cannot afford.. he plans to secure ourselves here, in an effort to prevent future attacks.. He has a clear/consistent record.. and is the only candidate, that I truly feel has the average Americans best interest at heart.. He isn't backed by corporations, lobbyists and interest groups.

I have found that when discussing politics most people that say "I'm open minded" are like the doctor that tells you "this isn't going to hurt".

That being said, I haven't decided on a candidate yet, but so far nobody with a "D" in front of their name has my vote.

Oh, and LeAnne, I've been a Red Sox fan for 30 years, I must have missed the memo that I was supposed to be for any team that can beat the Yankee's, could you please forward that to me?

This time I will vote for a Democrat, provided the one nominated is not backed by big money or money from unknown sources! I will, if possible, vote for a man who has run his campaign from a grass roots level. I admire his tenacity in hanging on with so little money to run his campaign! Big war chests don't impress me, as they seem to so many others, they just make me wonder what the price will be for those of us who elect someone who has taken so much money from Special Interest groups, who really will be making the decisions for us, the elected or the Special Interest groups? From the past 2 elections, we should be able to see that it won't be the people that are running the country or even the elected, it will be the same people who have been running things since Bush was elected or an unknown group that may not have the same desires for how this country should be run that most Americans have in mind. It's easy to talk big but, when push comes to shove, who do you thing is going to be shoved by the Special Interest groups? The majority of Americans, who with their vote, elect these people, don't seem to be able to make this information a part of their thinking process! What is wrong with them? According to HIllary, she is already the President! Can't help but wonder what gives her this impression. I know that she is smart & has very intelligent people working for her but I think that her perception is that we are all stupid & that we are impress with all the money she has backing her, same with Obama! They just could be wrong, perhaps people will begin to ask themselves why & how could those 2 amass so much money, in so short a time, unless they have made some deals that just may not be in our best interests! Think about it! Give me the grass roots guy everytime! Have I made you think? If I can't vote for the person I hope receives the nomination from the Democrats, I just might have to try & pick a Republican! In any event, I will vote!

I'm afraid I am slowly falling into the category of a Red Sox fan - you know the kind that supports two teams, the Red Sox and any team that beats the Yankees.
At this point in the campaigning, I support any candidate that beats Hillary. Duncan Hunter would be fine.

Supporting Duncan Hunter is the way to go and Tom Tancredo as his running mate.

I wanted newt to run, but all that money in Romneys pockets scared him off...too bad.
I like Romney, he has a moral core for his beliefs and an alternative health care stratgy that works.
He is articulate, and no one could possibly call him President Huck (although he's good too!

My preference is for Barack Obama, for two reasons. He opposed the Iraq War from the same time I did, and he refuses to attack the other candidates. He knows the enemy is neither his fellow Democrats nor the Republican Party.

He's probably got the sense to put McCain in a position of influence.
