Companies have different fiscal years - they can start with any month. Many companies' fiscal years are the same as calendar years, but your company might have a fiscal year from for example July thru June, so "fiscal to date" would include what you've made since the previous July 1, where year to date would be from January 1.

Calendar to date is Jan 1st - today.
Fiscal to date is the beginning of the fiscal period - ask your employer when their fiscal year begins.
