With the new version of google earth (Version 4.2) you can access a flight simulator.
To access the flight sim hold down
Alt + A + Ctrl
If you are using a mac it is:
Command/Open Apple Key + Option + A
All the controls for the flight sim can be found here:
http://earth.google.com/intl/en/userguide/v4/flightsim/index.html
It also tells you what you can do with it.
If you don't have a fast broadband this might not be the best flight sim for you.
