Call any fabric stores or sewing machine shops near you and ask about classes.

your local fabric store probably hosts sewing workshops. Also your local craft store might, too. AND you could look into your local sewing machine repair shop, they *night* have classes, but I'm not sure.

If you buy an "easy" pattern, there are usually instructions. If you can just get someone to show you how to thread the machine, you can go from there. You can always research the terminology online, too.

How old are you? If you are younger than 16, it might be hard to get into an adult class. Can you find a granny or neighbor who would have the time to sit with you and show you the basics?
