What would be the first derivitive of y = tan^2(5x) ?

2*tan(5x)*sec²(5x)*5 = 10 tan(5x)sec²(5x)

Repeated application of the chain rule.

y = tan Â² (5x)
y = (tan 5x) Â²
dy/dx = 2 (tan 5x) (5 sec Â² 5x)
dy/dx = 10 tan 5x sec Â² 5x
