First, you have to understand what an essay is: it is the assertion and defense of a thesis--an idea about the matter at hand. It's not a test in which you are supposed to regurgitate every detail that you've taken in.

Unfortunately, that means you have to have an idea about the Revolution of your own--an original thought, an insight that is your own creation. So think about the issues and the cast of characters and find something that has meaning to you, something about which you have a strong opinion.

Write down that opinion--that is your thesis statement. Now you have to defend it. Begin by outlining the line of reasoning that led you to your thesis. Find the writings of participants in the struggle who agree with your point of view. Search the internet for historians who have come to similar conclusions.

Each step in the reasoning process becomes a paragraph that leads inevitably to your conclusion, which is a triumphant restatement of your thesis. Do it well and I guarantee an A.

You start an essay with an introduction. The basic format of an essay is 1. An Introduction. In the introduction you should state your belies or facts that support the topic of the essay, and you should tell the three points without going into detail. The details come in the Body of the Essay. The three points that support the essay should be explained into detail in the Body. It should be at least 3 points. Lastly, the closing. In the closing, you should tie all the points together telling the reader why you feel what you feel or summing up the reason or the facts that support the essay.

I always liked a good story. I have been published for some of my writing in university. But this was my approach. What was something good that happend? What is going to be your last line? Or your last paragraph?

Write your ending first. Once you have your last paragraph, use your first paragraph to hint toward the ending.

Many writers always write the last chapter first. Now you just have to fill in what you know you are building too. It makes it easier for alot of people. If you know your ending, the beginning is simple.

Write that first and see if it helps.

you can start out With a quote from the declaration independence. or something like Life , liberty and property, these are the three ideas written by John Locke that sparked the American Revolution.

The hardest part will be your intro which includes a topic sentence and details what your paper is about. I always find the Intro to be the hardest. Then after that the Body of the paper is fun!!! And the conclusion is basically a rephrasing of the intro!

its best to start off with a thesis, usually this begins ur essay or argument, or u can just restate the question. Then start to write the paragraphs.

A lot of people have trouble writing the into, so you're not alone.

When you write the intro, start with very general and broad statements. Then as you get closer to your these statement, your ideas can get from very general and broad to very detailed.

Hope that helped.
