those running for the Republican nomination. Ronald Reagan was a great president, the best in my lifetime. But he was one of a kind, the likes of which we shall not see again. Shouldn't we now look for a man or woman who has conservative principles yet who stands apart, who has new ideas, who speaks conservative values yet can capture the hearts of those who are searching for a better way?
I don't have a name to give you. You have to do your own research. But as for me, while I love the memory of Ronald Reagan and all he stood for, I believe we need to move on.

I wouldn't go as far as saying we will never see another president as good as Reagan. It's not a bad thing to envy him and look for his characteristics in future candidates. But if you're consumed by having a candidate exactly like Reagan, then yes, it's time to live in the now.

Funny thing about that, President Ford along with other leaders of foreign countries thought Reagan was a great showman but a poor politician. You already have the next Reagan, his name is Ron Paul yet your party treats him like a leper. The GOP is now so fragmented it can't even agree what a conservative is today. One thing is for sure, it's not being fiscally responsible or wanting smaller government. Our debt has exploded and government grown under this compassionate conservative administration.
