Everyone loves there sports but can someone explain to me why athletes get paid millions of dollars for playing a game and soldiers who put their lives on the line for our country get paid terrible? \lot of people think that the military gets paid well but take it from me an active duty sergeant in the army, we get so little.

It says something about our society when we pay uneducated, less than moderately intelligent players of games millions of dollars and refuse to pay the people that are responsible for the education of our children a livable wage.

People pay to see athletes perform, and they bring recreation to millions. Same with artists -- if Bruce Springsteen can make $5 a CD times 5 million, that's what he deserves.

That, in a nutshell, is capitalism. Skills are paid by market value. and not worth to society.

I understand your point, and admire your service, and don't want to trade places with you. But that's the system, and it works better than anything else we've come up with.

Sports is a business. People line up to see athletes play. It's a sad reality.

You can't really compare honor to dollars.

Sports players are over paid and they should tax the teams more.
