Branson will do exactly what his advisors tell him to do, though of late they have made a bit of an *** of him, jumping off tall buildings and supporting the McScams

It isn't Branson's money which has beeen used to pay the McCann's living expenses, it's the money donated by the public to the Find Madeleine Campaign.

Robert C you have a point. As for R Branson,he new the ammount of publicity this would generate on world news and virtually free.As stated,i think his get out clause would be fairly well drafted.

If it was Richard Branson and legal costs was where his money was to be spent I am sure he had enough sense to legally have drawn up a document saying exactly this.

I think Richard Branson fell for the McCann act, the same as quite a lot of other people.
I wonder if he would help me out, am a bit strapped at the moment and Christmas is just around the corner, got a few family problems myself.
Anyway Good night kamran, sleep well.

i am tired of this pro anti maccann thing, nobody here is an idiot, i want to believe.
for you so called pros's will you decide to ignore a suspicious act by the maccanns just to maintain ur pro status, pls grow up everyone.
and anti's, will you still bad mouth the maccans if there was evidence to prove they are innocent?
I'm neither pro nor anti but i try to analise events as the happen and i am sorry but the couple are strange and sometimes act suspiciously, that's not to say the are guilty but in my opinion just weird.

In their darkest hour when they were in turmoil after Maddy disappeared the Mc's still managed to stick a clause into the Fund small print allowing them to use the fund for their own purposes .That was handy wasn't it,Gerry planning ahead ?
So it seems that LEGALLY they are doing nothing wrong but MORALLY it stinks and the fund should be frozen. Public outcry forbade them to use it to pay legal fees and the same should happen with regards to the mortgage. It from day one it was made perfectly clear to the public that the Mc's would use the money for their mortgage then they would have smelt a rat thought twice about donating.
As for Branson ,well I think he should bail out before the train hits the buffers

Richard Branson should continue to back the McCanns. They are in the public eye, so of course there will be people for and against them. At present there are too many people wanting to bring about their downfall, not believing them. I look forward to the day when these people are proved wrong for all their hatred and spite. Sure, they made mistakes, but to even insinuate that this is a con trick, as you suggested, is totally without foundation. Richard Branson is also no fool, and he must be fully up to date with all that is happening in this tragic case and if he believes in them, and in their innocence, good luck to him and to them.

Sir Richard Branson is a much smarter person than the questioner. You can be sure he made it quite clear from day one just what could or could not be done with his donation. If any wrong had been done I am sure that he would be the first person to complain. Has he ? I don't think so.
