Are you going to a specialist referred by Kaiser? Because if you are they should know your history! Also they probably want to meet the hubby but like you mentioned in a previous post he was kind sketch on it right? Maybe they'll give you the brown bag... but I did see a kit at Walgreen's that test the spermies!!! Check that out if hes still spooked on seeing the DR! But for you... just ask what you need to do and what you need to change the obvious answer will always be your weight but you've started to do something so keep it up! I have no reason as to why I am overweight other then Depo and that was what kept me from conceiving for so long... Just keep and open mind and an open heart and I am sure great things will come your way.... Good Luck!!

Well you already know you have PCOS, so I'm sure you will discuss that at great length. When he/she hears how long you've been trying, your doctor will probably recommend a course of action for you to help regulate your periods.
PCOS is a complex condition, so more than likely the specialist will want to take further to tests to find out to what extend you have it.
Good luck and keep us posted.

you tell the front desk that you want a consultation. Then when you meet with the specialist he talks to you about your problems. word of advice, they are very expensive so if your regular obgyn has any exams/paperwork she has done on your ttc journey..have there office send it to the specialist. We went because I have a septated uterus (increases miscarriages) and i was well prepared with my tests etc and my doctors notes. He said that was very helpful. Good luck, and write down all your questions before hand so you get the most out of your visit.

I do have pcos and these are some of the things I'll ask and tell my gyno.
If you were on medication tell him if there were any changes during you cycle.
AS FOR ME, MY CYCLES WERE ALWAYS IREGULER BUT NOW I AM ON METFORMIN ITS A REGULER 29DAY CYCLE
If your appetite have change let him no.
If your body is changing let him no.
Ask him about metformin and what does it do in AID to PCOS?
Ask him about clomid and why are some clomid resistance?
Ask him how do the ovaries release a mature egg if small cycts are covering it?
Ask him more about your ovaries and how it would perform?

I agree take everything you have already and everytime you think of something write it down so you don't forget even if you think the question is silly still ask. I went to my apps with a list everytime or i would forget then remember after i was out. Don't be nervous they are there to help you. And remember you are paying for their services so ask everything you want.
Best of luck

When I made my phone call, I told the receptionist that I wanted to discuss trying to conceive and some concerns that I had. It was as easy as that, and when I got into the room with my doctor, it opened up the door to just get it out what I was thinking, and what concernes I had.
Good luck!!!!!!
