You are guilty of the offense. You do not need an attorney to plad guilty.
If you don't want any points, I suggest enrolling for traffic school.
After paying the fees and finishing the course, you won't have any points on your record.
Good luck!

find out how much a lawyer will charge to contest and compare that with how much the ticket will cost (you may want to take into consideration any increases in insurance premiums that having a speeding ticket on your record may cause)... usually you can find a lawyer that will contest it for you for about $100, but you are not guaranteed to win the contestion (some lawyers guarantee it or your money back, I would be wary of these lawyers)... usually the only thing lawyers can do is postpone the hearing a few times and hope the cop forgets to show up... it's very rare that anyone successfully contests a speeding ticket with the cop present even with a lawyer...

It would have helped if you let us know what state you lived in. In most states, you've got thirty days from the time the ticket was issued. You show up in court and pay the fine-so much for every mile you were over the speed limit.
In most states, you take a Drivers Education course and thirty days after that, the ticket comes off your record. If myou don't show up for your Drivers Ed class by 5:00 p.m.,then a warrant will be issued by the court for your arrast. THEN you WILL need that lawyer.Does your state require you to drive with insurance? If so,tell mom and dad that their rate will be going up thanks to you. And no,you don't need a lawyer.

Lawyers cost more than speeding tickets. Whoever told you that doesn't know what they're talking about.
Most people contest speeding tickets without lawyers.

If the police have you on radar,or have clocked you, then, unless you can afford the best lawyers,i'd pay and learn.
Alternative will probably be,still losing, and have a lawyer to pay as well

You broke the law. Now you pay for it. See how easy that is? No, you don't need a lawyer. Just plead guilty, apologize to the court, and take your punishment.

Have enough $ to pay a lawyer $ 175.00 an hour? Then get one.
