When was the last time Iran attacked anybody? I think its been >100 yrs. They have been under several different regimes live in peace with 20,000 Jews. I think the country is not a threat to anyone militarily just to a few economically.

According to news reports, the UN was very upset about the rhetoric Bush is using against Iran. There is some doubt that they are anywhere near getting nuclear power and, if they do, they claim it will be for peaceful purposes. We also claim we have nuclear power for peaceful purposes. Unfortunately, we are using many weapons for non-peaceful purposes and we threaten Iran with nuclear power almost every day
On the other hand, he has offered to trade nuclear technology with India in exchange for goods....which I hear are mangoes. I presume India would also use this for peaceful purposes, although not long ago, India and Pakistan were threatening each other with nuclear power.
Also, there are constant complaints about Iran supplying Iraqi insurgents with weapons. According to news reports today, Iraq officials complained that the United States was supplying weapons and supplies for the Kurdish rebels attacking both Turkey and Iran. So, who knows what is going on in that mess Bush has instigated?.
I have no way of knowing if we can take Iran at its word. Possibly not. But I do know we cannot trust anything Bush says, other than, "I am the War President!"

The under tow of events notably involves Israel.
Russia signed a pact with the Arab 4, in aprox 1992;
Which said if it's Arabs vs Israel, Russia is with Arabs.
Russia then got paid for such a deal, in money and oil.
So then, Sadman Insane tried to scud missle Israel,
to make it about Israel, which would kick in Russia.
Now Iran is trying to make it about Israel, provoke Israel,
so they can call in the marker with Russia already pd for.
Russia is being more diplomatic than the USA is being,
saying let's have peaceful progess, not silly sides wars.
For the world is now global, has global problems to solve.
As Deli Lamb-ma noted, Russia now a 'young democracy',
and should be nurtured along, not provoked into sides war.
War is Old, Obsolete, Destructive, Results only in Sorrows.
Congressman John Lewis, on War(prior to the Iraq War):
"War does not end strife - it sows it. War does not end hatred - it feeds it. For those who argue war is a necessary evil, I say you are half right. War is evil. But it is not necessary.
War cannot be a necessary evil, because non-violence is a necessary good. The two [war and peace] cannot co-exist".
POINT: Law and Grace are "contrary" things,
which cannot co-exist in peace. So flush Law.
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Gee did you know about spell check? We are not denying them the technology, we just have a few reservations about what they are going to use it for. And if you read the news you see several other Nations are wondering too.
