One of my faves is "Hit" by the Sugarcubes (fronted by the one and only Bjork). It's a sublime pop song and the lyrics are brilliant - someone really trying to resist falling in love!

Talking of the big B, "Play Dead" is a Bjork classic.

Then it depends upon your musical preferences. The beauty of music! If it were up to me...

I'd have to have some Jimi Hendrix. "Crosstown Traffic" is a goodie. Jane's Addiction "Been Caught Stealing" is a beaut.

I'm older than you, and an eighties gal, so you have to include ALL back catalogue of Aha, Duran Duran and the Cure.

I'm also a classical music fan (don't laugh). I would recommend - good mood orchestral stuff, Elgar's Enigma Variations. Deep thinking stuff - Rachmaninov. Beautiful listening - Mendelssohn or Chopin.

Smashing Pumpkins' "1979" reminds me of my early teen years when I loved hanging out with my older sister and all her friends. It made me feel cool.
