Is there any prize money for the MLB world series winner

The World Series winners get 36% of the prize monies pool, which is then divided by however many shares and straight cash awards the roster voted to award (voting is done in late August so call-ups have no voice in it; every player gets something).

The pool is derived from gate receipts of the first three games from each Division Series and the first four games of both LCS and the World Series. There is no incentive for the players to, um, ensure that additional games are played just for the sake of increasing the pool. (And it's not all the gate receipts; pretty sure it is 60%.)

They do, using a formula based heavily on gate receipts. Combined with other revenues, this is the money divvied up for both winning and losing shares. The Cards last year received about $362,000 each, but the Sox may actually receive slightly less this time around because of the sweep.

Whether to play or not you have to decide but not the mom or dad.If they decide then you may not play.
