Not really, it would be very hard to buy a VHS Cassette or a VCR system though, I for one wish I had one as I have lots of tapes but I can't watch them. They are a thing of the past, just as DVD's will be in a few years with the introduction of Blu-Ray Disc and HD DVD. Goodbye VCR!

My 80 year old Mother was having a fit because when she moved in with me she couldn't use her VCR (3) because I have Direct Satellite. So we talked her into a DVR but let me tell you she still won't let go of those VCRs. So we just plugged them in or at least one of them and so she can still watch some tapes she has collected.

I have a VCR and DVD built into my TV and I use them both. A VCR is still great to tape stuff and look at them later.

They are not quite a thing of the past, but they are rapidly reaching their life expectancy. I would imagine that until people completely replace their VHS collection with newer media such as DVD, there will be at least one in a home until then.
Most of which sold now are DVD/VCR combos.
My fav electronics store still sells them:

Yes I have a VCR. My mom uses hers a lot to tape shows. She doesn't like the DVD player that much.

My family has one, but we don't use it anymore. One reason is because no one sells videos in VCR format anyway, another is because we have no reason to, and a third is beause, yeah, they're pretty much a thing of the past.
