Yes I do. People in less important proffessions are paid way more, when nurses are here to save our lives, help us recover and deliver children. They also get a lot of slack (especially midwives) over the way things are done in hospitals but the government doesnt help them enough with the funds they need, so its not their fault.

Thank you for this question!!! I am a nurse and I feel comfortable saying, I don't feel as under-paid as I do under-appreciated by some. I don't think most people realize exactly how demanding this profession truly is............even when we are not working, there is always someone who will ask a medical question while you're in a social setting.

Under paid, under staffed and over worked.
Teachers make more than I do and work no holidays, week ends or the summer and isn't a 24/7 schedule either. Hard job but better perks and compensation.

Yes. And given the opportunity I would like to spend an evening with 4 or 5 nurses who would be very well compensated for their efforts.

Well, I'm a nurse and for all that we do, yes, we are. And for all those who think teachers are underpaid, maybe they are, but I know many teachers who live much better than I do.

I don't really know what nurses are paid.
The people that are underpaid are the people who run humane societies and such...

nurses are..over worked .... under paid .....never appreciated....but so are teachers,fireman and police..
