Final Fantasy is a RPG game that has been made only for the Playstation game consoles. Final Fantasy XIII is coming out next year for the Playstation 3. The Final Fantasy series is probably one of the top 5 best selling exclusive Playstation game titles of all time.
To give you an idea of the popularity, the Final Fantasy games are like Halo games released for the Playstation consoles, and in Japan, Final Fantasy games are very popular. As of March 2007 all of the Final Fantasy games combined have all sold 75 million games worldwide.

It is a role-playing game for games consoles. I personally enjoy very few of them, but they are really popular games for the playstation. Currently there are 12 in the series, and lots of spin-off games, and they;re currently making a 13th
so in short its a big game franchise
