Most days - I DO, and let me tell ya, it's no easy job either... but when I fail, when not much works, there is always this man, this one particular (and peculiar) guy who keeps showing up, who seems to love me, who calls me "exquisite" and who I hope not to chase off with this nasty cold and my silly fear of the dark. He has the most amazing way about him, not a little boy but not just a man, and somehow both. He's bright and shining and curious and dear, and when he holds me in the night... well, all is safe and warm and there are no monsters, not even in my dreams...
