I suspect he will end up with the Angels or Giants, although I would love for him to sign with the Cubs or Red Sox.

His situation reminds me of another player, Roger Maris, who was my boyhood idol. He helped the Yanks get to many world series, but slumped in the post season. And the fickle Yankee fans crucified him for it. Also, New York never accepted Maris because Mickey Mantle was their boy, just like Jeter is the main guy and A-Rod is treated as an outsider. What fools. With the departure of A-Rod and the disrespect shown to Torre and Mattingly, I feel the Yanks are in for a big, fast fall. Hank Steinbrenner is a crude, crass, classless jackass who will prove quickly to be the ruination of the Yankees.

I could imagine A-ROD playing "shortstop" for the Angel, And already I'm seeing Vladimir Guerrero, smiling and happy. This would be a very good arrival for the Angels organization.

Love to see him go to the Cubies. Maybe they'd have a shot to lose to the AL in the World Series then.

Either the Angels or the Giants; both teams can afford to pay him and have fans that don't care (LA) or like their guy regardless of what everyone else thinks (SF).

I'm guessing the SF Giants will make a run at him, so will the Chi Cubs.
