Yes I do especially when I feel the person is really asking help and I do not have an answer so people in my contacts can see the question. On a general note, I star questions that are funny and interesting even though I may not answer it. Finally, a star goes for questions that I intend to answer later =)

I sometimes star questions that I don't have an answer for because often I think the question is interesting, but I just don't know the answer. Also sometimes I'm just curious to see what other people will say.

I think "staring" a question is simply to say that the question is interesting. For example, you might star a question because you would like to know the answer as well ... you might be clueless about the answer or simply want to see if your gut feeling was correct.
On the other hand, you might answer the question but still be interested to see what others have to say. From your question, I am guessing that some people star questions as a way to find them again easily when they have time to write a response .... never thought about it that way!

I have on a few occassions starred a question without answering it because I wasn't too sure how to answer it. By starring it, I highlight the question to my contacts who might then find it interesting enough to answer it. This way, even though I didn't ask the question, I will learn from the answers.

Whenever I come across a Question that launches an interesting debate, queries any controversial myth, raises a pertinent issue, or tickles my funny bone, I promptly give it a star.
But unless I have something new, or more, to say, after reading through all the Answers received, I do not - as a rule - try Answer it.

I don't remember having starred a question without answering it. Becuase if I find a question interesting, I would be delighted to share what I know about the question asked.

Yes.. I have done it.. I don't do it too often but maybe I just don't feel like answering it or it doesn't really apply to me but it is still interesting so I'll give it a star :)

Yes, I have done it in the past. I just want to mark it for various reasons. Maybe I'm interested to find out what other people has to say, even though I myself am not qualified to answer the question.

I've done that quite a few times - because I really found the Question to be original and interesting.
But when I find that someone else has beaten me to it in providing a correct and meaningful Answer, I refrain from repeating that same idea, in my words !

I only star questions that I answer. I wouldn't star a question without answering it. It seems strange.
