I always have normal periods and i was supposed to start the 28th of october and so far its been really strange brown spots/clumps. It's never been like this and im not sure what it could be. I did start birth control this month, could that be causing it? Also could spotting like this mean that i could be pregnant?

Take a pregnancy test. Its the only way to know for sure and its better than guessing.
Sometimes birth control messes with your cycle, so it could be normal or you could be pregnant. Did you have unprotected sex during the first 2 weeks on the pill?

If you are spotting it does not mean you are pregnant. If you just started the birth control pill then it is very likely that you might spot on and off for a couple of weeks. Your body is still getting used to the extra hormones that the birth control provides. Give it time, your body will adjust. Just dont be alarmed if you have a few days where you are spotting. I guarantee you're probably just fine. The pill can do crazy things to your body and everyone reacts differently. If you're really worried, maybe you could make a quick visit to your doctor if it continues for too long.

It's so nothing to worry about. Your only a day late for your regular cycle, and adding the pills into the mix is going to have some effects on your period. The brown spotting is probably just the beginnings of a period. That's pretty normal with the pill.

You should have started you BC pills on the Sunday after you started your last period. If that did not happen it could explain your spotting. Give your Dr. a call just in case. Otherwise I would not be to worried about it, yet. I don't think you are pregnant but a pregnancy test will easy your mind.

It's you birth control pill, If it doesn't stop in another month or 2 talk to your Dr. about changing. I have endometriosis and have been on the pill since I was 13 for it. I have tried them all and you can get lot's of weird side affects if you body doesn't take to it. My body is very picky about what pill I'm on. I like Yazmin or Yaz cause it has the lowest hormone level in it so you have less side affects. If it continues see your Dr.

Brown spotting is just old blood and it can occur at both the beginning and end of a period. Yes, it can be caused by being on the pll as well, especially since your body is trying to adjust to being on the medication.
I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.

Do you mean you started birth control pills? Then yes, definitely, they change your hormone balances and change your periods. Just to be sure, get a pregnancy test.

It is probably breakthrough bleeding from the bc. Nothing to worry about. Also bc makes your periods lighter so it could just be a light period. If you are on bc its probably not pregnancy but if you are truly worried take a home pregnancy test or go to the gyno. good luck
