I wouldn't be surprised if it happened. There are players that wouldn't hesitate to do that type of thing to a key player. On Sunday Payton Manning was deliberately smashed to the ground after throwing a pass. They received a 15 yard penalty for the play but the opposing team may consider that as a small price to pay for taking out a player like Manning, Brady, Moss or Harrison. It also becomes more probable when you keep running up the score like the Patriots were doing last Sunday because that would only upset the opposing team more.

Maybe if there's a game where the Patriots are up by 3 or 4 touch downs, & Brady & Moss are both left in the game some defensive player will get angry enough to make a dirty hit on one of them. It would actually be a sign of hope that some players in the NFL still have pride.

NFL players aren't that classless. It would take a real loser, one who doesn't mind being suspended for a season or more, to do something like that. If it did, the other team would likely lose someone to a season ending injury. Anyway, did you see Brady's dive into the end zone? He didn't look too worried to me.He and Moss are tough guys, as is the whole team.
Besides, other players secretly want to play for the Pats, and hope they can someday, because they all like super bowl rings.
Anyway, the Patriots never taunt, or do stupid celebrations, all they do is score a lot of points.

It's only a matter of time. I hope they're up by 42 and everyone who's supporting Belichek will turn on him and cry about why he left Brady in the game.

Thats my fear, a guy like Godfrey is gonna get pissed and fly in after a play and just crush Brady. It would be bullshit, running it up or not the Pats arent braking a rule by scoring a lot and if someone intentially hurt another player he should be kicked out of the NFL.

I would believe most players in the NFL would not risk doing something that stupid. For many reason #1 - you may have to play with them one day #2 the loss of income and possible future income #3 simply put, it is not professional

It WILL happen. If you want to be treated like a professional, then act like a professional. New England needs to remember that the criticism they are receiving, is of their own making. The NFL is not out to get you!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm surprised it hasn't happened already. If the Pats were playing in the era of Dick Butkus, they wouldn't be running up the score, or Brady would be out for the year already.
